A welcoming home.
Our home supports up to three young people, between the ages of 10 and 18, each with their own bedroom.
It is a calm and pleasant environment, in which we work with children to help them develop positive routines, coping strategies and enjoy childhood experiences. Each child is valued and involved in deciding every aspect of their care. Their needs lead us.
Our approach is varied to help the young people we care for, move on to lead fulfilling lives. Our direct care supports them to achieve the best outcomes for the next stages of their lives.
A safe place to be.
Individuality
Everyone chooses how to furnish and decorate their room and make it their own. Staff have a separate sleeping area and office, so our home is focused around the needs of our children.
Consistent, trustworthy care
Our staffing levels ensure our young people receive the attention they need. With up to three young people in the home, we also maintain a low ratio occupancy, allowing for plenty of space, a sense of calm and privacy to heal.
Every young person has a Key Worker whom they can trust implicitly. Our staff are well trained, and work flexibly to meet the needs and wants of our children and young people.
By offering stable and consistent care, we provide a nurturing environment, where our young people can build healthy, long-term relationships.
The welfare of our team is also paramount, as our care to them enables them to deliver the best care to our young people.
Independence and Opportunity
Our home is in a semi-rural location, within walking distance to the local village, transport links and amenities. Our young people are encouraged to become part of the local community and undertake age-appropriate childhood experiences.
With the right boundaries, we promote independence, respect and courtesy. Our young people are encouraged to express themselves and their individuality, without fear or judgement.
Encouraging and Supportive
We are wholeheartedly committed to providing support during difficult times and to build resilience. As such, we encourage 1-2-1 sessions in which to discuss feelings and explore the impact and meaning of their thoughts and actions.
We are ambitious for the young people in our care and celebrate their achievements. We agree clear and realistic goals with them to encourage positive action, a sense of accomplishment and confidence in a brighter future.
